Luxury Fashion Trends: Summer 2016
With Summer now in full swing, this seasons trends have accumulated with burnt oranges, flashes of white and rich hues. In this post I will be discussing my favourite campaigns of the season all from Vogue magazine.
For me Louis Vuitton have been killing it recently. In the July edition we saw a campaign exuding country Ralph Lauren style. Block colours of navy and white to contrast, fall straight into a major trend this year. Combining the petticoat with a polo neck white jumper and the upcoming classic Capucine bag see’s perfect for a country outing.
The new autumn-winter collection of 2016 was exhibited in this months Vogue and it didn’t fail to impress… reminiscent of the Met Gala 2016 Manus x Machina collection, I felt the campaign moved into an intergalactic sense. My favourite look was the monochrome, peplum outfit complete with an overly branded bag emphasising the growing future.
This look from Gucci was so eye-catching and unique, it had to feature in this post. The subtitling of high note symbolises this outfit is powerful. A stunning royal red fitted dressed cinched at the shoulders combined with a navy and white bodice featuring a string of brooches exudes class.
With the newest boutique opening in London, Dior are rising in status as an infinite brand. Straying away from the overt, Dior comprises a day time ready to wear look. Matching the neutral, classic gold and camel with the traditional trench coat and Lady Dior bag- here you have a timeless outfit.
To finish the favourites, the Dolce and Gabbana campaign truly warms my heart, keeping with the familial Italian sense. In the campaign we see a crowd gather around the fashion models. Symbolising a celebration of fashion and unity with civilisation, truly showing without fashion, this world would be non existent.
What have been your favourite trends/campaigns this year?
