Trip to Sheffield

Another weekend, another university open day. This week- Sheffield, a city situated in South Yorkshire. Pretty much slap bang in the middle of the UK. Metropolitan, but close enough to the Peak District for that countryside escape.

For me, Sheffield is more like a very big town than a city, however it’s still rich in atmosphere. Known for it’s student population and night life, Sheffield allows for the buzz of a big city. However, it is still close to Manchester (43 minute train journey) if you fancy a bit more variety.

Voted as one of the best cities in the UK, there certainly is a characteristic charm about the place. Those buzzing trams (that nearly ran me over), the beautiful architecture, it is almost like a microcosm of Manchester. The people are extremely friendly - shout out to Ellie in LUSH, who was a gem!

Here are a few photos I took from the day…

Have you ever been to Sheffield?
