TRAVEL DIARIES : BARCELONA
Can you believe it's already December? November flew by!
If you haven't seen already (YouTube Video), last month I visited Barcelona for a long weekend.
Before we even get into the post, I would just like to say it is an extraordinary city that is well worth a visit...
Like any city, one of the major reasons you visit is to see the 'Tourist Attractions'. Well, Barcelona certainly know how to do tourist attractions. Arguably the most notable attraction of Barcelona is the Sagrada Familia- a beautiful church containing some of Gaudi's infamous architecture.
Speaking of Gaudi, his design Park Guell is an unmissable. You will see some breathtaking landscapes of Barcelona (bottom left) reaching out to the World Trade Centre. What I loved about the park, was the immediate relaxation you felt, away from the hustle and bustle of the city; you can hear and see nature all around you.
Think Paris is the city to shop in? Think again! Walking down Passeig De Gracia you will see shop, after shop, after shop. Chanel, Dior, Prada, Tiffany all on your doorstep.
My top tip is head towards Spanish brands such as Zara and Mango. These will all have around an average of £5-10 off British prices. Great if you have a special piece in mind.
Food; probably the most important. Trust me, you can't go wrong anywhere in Spain when it comes to cuisine. You want traditional? Go for a Seafood Paella, cooked fresh in front of you! You want American? Barcelona loves their beef burgers! There is honestly everything for anyone, including even the fussiest of eaters. FYI, this ice cream was KINDER CHOCOLATE FLAVOURED- STEP UP YOUR GAME BRITAIN!!!
By combining my three favourite things- culture, shopping and food. Barcelona was by far one of the best cities I have ever visited. One I would definitely see again.
Have you ever been to Barcelona?
